2. Platform Description

AdoptLocalPets is a free platform that connects animal shelters, rescue organizations, and individuals with potential pet adopters. We facilitate connections but are not a party to any adoption agreement between users and shelters.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not create accounts for others without their permission or use another person's account.

4. Pet Listings

Users who list pets must provide accurate, truthful information about the animal. Misrepresenting a pet's health, temperament, or history is prohibited. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these terms.

5. Adoption Process

AdoptLocalPets facilitates introductions between adopters and shelters/pet owners. The actual adoption process, including fees, contracts, and agreements, is between the adopter and the shelter/owner. We are not responsible for the outcome of any adoption.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not: post fraudulent listings, harass other users, use the platform for commercial breeding or sales, scrape or harvest data, attempt to circumvent security measures, or use the platform for any illegal purpose.

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, descriptions, stories). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on our platform. We may remove content that violates these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

AdoptLocalPets is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to adoption outcomes, pet health issues, or interactions with other users.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings.
